KOALA CLANCY FOUNDATION PRESENTS: Andrew Skeoch with Janine Duffy
February 15, 2024 @ 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm
Author and wildlife acoustic expert, Andrew Skeoch, joins us to discuss an important question: How can we engage our hearing to connect more deeply to nature around us?
This special event is an opportunity to deeply understand and appreciate the unique natural world that we, as a community, are fighting to protect.
“Through vibrant recordings and spectrogram analysis that shows the beauty of birdsong, Skeoch will guide you into hearing the languages of nature; developing your auditory awareness, identifying species by ear, recognising behaviours and repertoire, and finding empathy with the voices of other beings. You’ll hear the environment around you in a whole new way.“
Skeoch’s immersive presentation will be followed by one from Koala Clancy Foundation’s very own, Janine Duffy. The two wildlife experts will conclude the evening with an audience Q&A. There will also be an opportunity to purchase Skeoch’s signed book.
