Koala Conservation Day: Tree Planting 3 and 4 June
June 3 @ 9:30 am - June 4 @ 2:30 pm
$180 – $260
In 2023, Koala Clancy Foundation will plant over 30,000 trees for koalas and other wildlife, and what better way to kick off the season than a full weekend of tree planting!
Join us on the 3rd and 4th of June for an exclusive Koala Conservation Event at one of our brand new sites. On Saturday we will enjoy a catered lunch break between planting and a catered dinner in the restored Moranghurk Shearer’s Quarters, before heading to bed, ready for another great day in nature. On Sunday, breakfast will be provided before a morning of tree planting. In the afternoon, guests will enjoy a catered lunch at the Clyde Park Vineyard.
Please note the following details:
– Accommodation: shared, same sex bedroom (BYO linen & pillow)
– Shared bathroom facilities (BYO personal items and towel)
– Inclusions: x1 on site lunch, x1 dinner, x1 breakfast, x1 Vineyard lunch
This special weekend is made possible by the generous support of IFAW (International Fund for Animal Welfare), and will only happen once this year. Tickets are very limited, be sure to book ASAP to avoid disappointment.
Want to help plant but can’t make it for the whole weekend? Don’t worry, there are also a number of single-day tickets available for both Saturday and Sunday (catering/meals not included).
PLEASE NOTE: Your booking will be confirmed via an email due to accommodation limitations. In the case where your booking is not able to proceed due to capacity limits, we will contact you and a full refund will be provided.
STANDARD TREE PLANTING INFORMATION
Upon arrival at our tree planting events you will be given guidance by our experienced staff, then you can plant in the company of your own family or friends, or follow along with the rest of the group. We aim to plant around 1000 koala trees, which will take at least 3 hours depending on the group size.
After planting for a bit, we’ll take morning tea and lunch breaks (BYO food and water). This will be undercover where possible but will usually be outdoors. We recommend dressing in layers as weather can be unpredictable – we’ve planted through rain, hail, and shine all in one day before!
Note: Tree planting is an incredibly rewarding activity but it requires some fitness (ability to walk on uneven terrain, carry equipment, bend over and use hammers). With that said it’s suitable and adaptable for a wide range of ages.
