Koala Tree Planting 19 July

July 19 @ 9:30 am - 2:00 pm

Koala event booked out

Plant trees to help koalas.  Enjoy a day of wellness in the outdoors, connecting with nature and helping Koalas.

Help create a new environment for koalas

Help us save wild koalas in the You Yangs and the Western Plains

UPDATE due to Coronavirus: This activity has changed.  Our groups are much smaller, transport options are limited to travel in your own car*, and we have created some social distance boundaries on the day.  We are no longer providing use of shared binoculars or gardening gloves, and all participants must bring a reusable drinking cup if they want coffee or tea.

Participants will be planting trees in the outdoors.  You will be given remote guidance by a leader, but you will be allocated patches to plant only in the company of your own family, or by yourself. Morning tea and lunch will be conducted sitting on logs at a distance from each other.

From June to August, we plant koala trees. We allow 1.5 to 2 hours for this activity, which occurs on private properties throughout the region. If the property is far from the You Yangs, there might not be a koala walk on that day, but there will be a nature walk.

BOOKINGS ESSENTIAL.  See link below for next available date.

Locals: $30 adults, $20 children/student/concession (Children must be accompanied by an adult).

Tourists: $120 *

Meeting place is yet to be advised, at this stage.
