Koala Tree Planting 27 June
June 27 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
THIS EVENT IS BOOKED OUT If you have a ticket you should have received email correspondence from us with details.
Plant trees to help koalas. Enjoy a day of wellness in the outdoors, connecting with nature and helping Koalas.
Help create a new environment for koalas.
Help us save wild koalas in the You Yangs and the Western Plains.
UPDATE due to Coronavirus: This activity has changed. Our groups are limited to 10 people, transport options are limited to travel in your own car*, and we have created some social distance boundaries on the day. We are no longer providing use of shared binoculars or gardening gloves, and all participants must bring a reusable drinking cup if they want coffee or tea.
Participants will be planting trees in the outdoors. You will be given remote guidance by a leader, but you will be allocated patches to plant only in the company of your own family, or by yourself. Morning tea and lunch will be conducted sitting on steps, seats and on the lawn (weather permitting) at a distance from each other.
From June to August, we plant koala trees. We allow 1.5 to 2 hours for this activity, which occurs on private properties throughout the region. This property is far from the You Yangs, so there will be a nature walk after planting, but we might not see koalas.
