Ready to plant trees to help koalas?

We start by meeting you at a designated spot in a nearby town at 9:30 am. Then, we’ll drive a short distance in convoy to the planting site to ensure everyone gets there easily!

The first moments on site are unforgettable. As you walk from the cars to the planting area, views of the surrounding landscape will take your breath away.

Now comes the fun part! After a quick demo from our expert team on how to plant trees for optimal survival, it’s time to get your hands dirty (in a good way!).

Here’s a pleasant surprise: the holes are already dug, and all the trees, stakes, and guards are ready to go. You simply choose where to start and get planting.

From here on out, it’s a personalised experience. Plant with family and friends, go solo, and take it slow if you prefer. This is where friendships blossom – many arrive alone and leave with new connections.

Keep your eyes peeled, too – we might be lucky enough to spot some exciting wildlife! Wedge-tailed eagles often soar overhead, a platypus might be hiding in the river, and on the rare occasion, a koala might even make an appearance.

After an hour or so of planting, we’ll refuel with a picnic spread of tea, coffee, and biscuits. Many of our regulars love to bring a plate to share, so feel free to do this too! This is also your chance to learn more about koala conservation during our planting day tradition: “the morning tea talk.” Ask questions and share your thoughts with the group and our knowledgeable staff.

Around 1:30pm, you’ll see the product of your efforts – look back to where you started and find an area filled with tree guards and newly planted koala habitat.
