This Wild Koala Day, we encourage you to ask, “What will I do for koalas?”
You don’t need to single-handedly solve the climate crisis or plant an entire forest for koalas. Your action doesn’t need to be huge, just one step that’s meaningful and achievable for you.
Here are 5 ways to take action for koalas. We truly believe that every person can do at least one of these things, so take your pick and watch the magic happen!
1. Donate to help koalas
It costs $10 to plant a koala tree that survives. With a month until our koala tree planting season, one of the best things you can do is donate to fund this project – we need to raise $50,000 of critical funds.
2. Help koalas in person
Join a koala tree planting day! On weekends in winter, our Victorian community gathers to plant thousands of koala trees. Click here to learn more about the unforgettable experience of planting koala trees.

3. Help koalas with your workplace
Corporate teams from Melbourne, Geelong, and surrounding areas join us year-round for fun team-building days in the great outdoors, including koala tree planting!

4. Get your community involved
If you want to engage your community in our mission, check out our Skills Marketplace fundraiser. Individual action, multiplied across a community, is what we need to save koalas!
5. Spread the word

We’re mighty proud of everything we’ve achieved in 9 years of celebrating Wild Koala Day. There were challenges and tragedies in that time, of course. But if one thing is true about the koala conservation community, it’s that we know how to rise above and keep fighting.
